Kashmir: Youth died in gunfire by security forces during stone-pelting in Budgam


Srinagar: An 18-year-old boy died and another person wounded in a alleged gunfire carried out by security forces on Friday. The stone-pelters were attacked in Beerwah area of Budgam district in Kashmir, police stated.

On Friday afternoon, a group of people began pelting vehicles of 53 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army in Beerwah town with stones, a police official asserted

He affirmed that the soldiers allegedly started firing to scatter the stone-pelters. Due to the firing, two people got wounded in Beerwah area.

The wounded has been found as Tanveer Ahmad Wani. He sustained injuries, on the other hand,  another injured had been taken to the hospital, the official stated.

The condition in Beerwah town and adjoining areas is tense after the lynching of the teenage boy, he asserted.
