Srinagar: Prepaid mobile phone services were restored across Kashmir on Saturday after remaining suspended for 98 days. However, mobile Internet services continued to remain suspended.
"With the improvement in the situation, prepaid mobile services are being restored from tonight," a police spokesman said.
The incoming call facility on the prepaid numbers was restored on July 27. However, the post-paid mobile services remained unafftected.
The mobile services were snapped in Kashmir a week after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
Wani’s death triggered massive protests across the Kashmir, claiming 84 lives and several thousand injured.
