KASHMIR: Three terrorists killed in Handwara encounter


HANDWARA: The violence between militants and security forces has ended at an Army Camp in Kupwara. Three attackers have been killed in an encounter.

The news was confirmed by Colonel Rajiv Saharan that around three terrorist were killed in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

Three AK-47 rifles, two UBGL launchers, three GPS, four radio search, maps and metric sheet, and medicines were recuperate from them.

Colonel Saharan asserted, "The medicines recovered have 'made in Pakistan' markings on them, this ascertains that these three terrorists were from Pakistan."

The terrorists were seen near Army base two days back. They started firing within the perimeter of the camp, Colonel Saharan further said.

"On being challenged these terrorist opened indiscriminate fire on to our sentry posts and onto our living shelters where our soldiers were resting," he said.

High alert has been issued near the army base area today. Quickly after the attack, the military began cleaning the area. Since the troops were ready, the attack was held by the security forces.

The assault comes days after psychological oppressors assaulted a Bolder Security Force (BSF) and connecting camps in Baramulla region, where one BSF officer was killed in the assault

The assault likewise comes after the Indian Army directed surgical strikes and demolished seven dread platforms over the Line of Control (LoC), a week ago.

A month ago, the fear based oppressors had assaulted the armed force unit central station at Uri, killing 19 officers.
