The Pakistan Army started gunfire on Indian forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday that led to the death of a soldier in the Rajouri sector of Jammu.
Defence spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta stated that the ceasefire started by Pakistan Army at 1.30 pm.
The firing was carried out when security forces killed three Jaish-e-Mohammad ultras in Tral forests.
“In the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Mohammed Naseer succumbed to his injuries,” Lieutenant Colonel Mehta asserted. He lives with his wife Wasim Akhtar in Poonch sector of Jammu .
In another incident, nearly three militants were attacked by security forces at Tral’s Satoora forest area in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
“I am sure we will continue eliminating the terrorists who are moving around in this area,” Lieutenant General JS Sandhu, general officer commanding (GOC) 15 corps affirmed.
On Saturday afternoon, the police detained two youth as they thrown grenade on the CRPF party members. In the attack, one assistant sub-inspector got wounded in Kulgam district in South Kashmir.
