NEW DELHI: Nearly three militants died in an encounter that took place on Tuesday evening in Budgam district of central Kashmir, Army stated.
On Tuesday evening, the firing started after security forces carried out a search operation when they got the information regarding existence of terrorists in Radbugh village in Magam area of Budgam at around 7.30pm.
“Their bodies along with three assault rifles have been recovered,” he stated.
He stated the deceased militants- found as Javid Sheikh, a native of Churpora Narbal, Dawood Ahmad Sofi, a native of Mustafa Abad Zainakote and Aaquib Gul. The speculations revealed that the militants was a part of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists outfit group.
The search operation was conducted by joint security team of the Central Reserve Police Force, Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group.
On the other hand, the Budgam violence is supposed to have finished on Wednesday morning. The investigation is in process by the officials.
