New Delhi: At Least seven Separatist leaders who were detained by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday, will now have to appear before the Patiala House Court today.
In Kashmir, several separatists involving Naeem Khan, Bitta Karate, Altaf Funtus, Ayaz Akbar, T. Saifullah, Meraz Kalwal and Saheed Ul Islam were taken into custody over money laundering allegations for supporting terrorism in Kashmir.
Nearly six of them were detained from Srinagar, on the other hand, Bitta Karate was detained from New Delhi. After the captures, the separatist leadership ordered for Kashmir bandh on Tuesday.
In Delhi, the culprits were brought to the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday. The case have been filed against them under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
BJP MP Satyapal Singh stated, “The NIA has got clinching evidence against them and that is why seven people have been arrested. The Pakistani role has been exposed in front of the world. Not only have they been exposed, but also the Hurriyat leaders. The Separatist leaders have not been exposed in front of the world, but also in front of the Kashmiri youth, whom they were misleading.”
In May, The NIA went to Srinagar to investigate the alleged financial support by Pakistan for unlawful activities in Kashmir and interrogated many separatist leaders on the matter of lifting, collecting and transferring money through the Hawala route and other platforms to support terror activities in Kashmir.
