JAMMU: Pakistan Army carried out firing along the Poonch-Rajouri district of Jammu Kashmir on Wednesday to target several villages and Indian posts.
The reports revealed that the Indian Army hit back successfully. “Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Naushera sector in Bhimbher Gali sector at around 0845 hours. The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively,” a defence spokesman asserted.
It added that, Pakistan Army also conducted gunfire in Balakote, Dhar, Lambibari, Rajdhani, Mankote, Sandote in Rajouri and Poonch districts on Wednesday.
The police officials asserted that the civilian found as Raza has been wounded in the firing in Sandote hamlet along the LoC. Later, he was taken to the hospital to undergo treatment.
On Tuesday, about two jawans died and six persons wounded as Pakistan army carried out the ceasefire for around five times and targeted several villages and forward posts with shelling. In Rajouri district, Pakistani Army has been pounding hundreds of school students to kill them. As per the reports, nearly 8000 people involving 3000 in Naushera and 5000 in Manjakote-Rajdhani-Panjgrain-Naika have been badly affected in the gunfire in last two days.
Before the attack on students, authorities evacuated 217 students and 15 teachers from several government schools along the LoC in Rajouri district. They were taken to the safe areas in bullet-proof vehicles.
