Kashmir: Nearly 3 militants died at Gurez, search operation in process


Kashmir: At Least three militants died in a infiltration bid that was carried out by Indian Army at the Gurez sector in Kashmir. As per the army, the investigation is on in the area.

Since 2016-17, several incidents of infiltration bid has been recorded in Kashmir. For the second time, the attack was carried out by Indian Army in Kashmir in the month of June 2017. The Indian Army is dependent on the intelligence inputs which recommended that an infiltration bid was being made by militants from Pakistan.

However, it is not final that which terrorists group they belong from. The speculations revealed that they must be part of Lashkar-e-Tayiba group. Probe into this matter are on by the security forces.

One militants died on June 10 at Gurez sector. Army protecting the Line of Control noticed militants attempting to enter in. Over 16 militants died by the Army along the LoC.

A defence spokesman asserted several attempts were being made by Pakistan army to conduct infiltration bid along Line of Control at Machhil and Naugam sectors in Kupwara district, Gurez in Bandipora district and Uri in Baramulla.
