Kashmir: Marty’s Family died In Pak Firing in Sambhal


SAMBHAL: The family of Sepoy Sudhesh Kumar killed in a firing that took place along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

The father of Sepoy, Brahmpal Singh affirmed that he will perform immolation of his son only when chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will arrive in Sambhal.

"The chief minister had gone to a martyr's house in Etah as he was a Yadav, he should also come here as there should not be any discrimination between martyrs", Brahmpal Singh said.

Sudhesh Kumar's mother Santosh Kumari requested for a government job for the soldier's widow wife.

"If we get financial help we will ensure proper education of his four year-old daughter so that she too can join the army and serve the country", Santosh Kumari said.

“A cheque of Rs. 20 lakh on behalf of the state government will be handed over to the widow of the jawan today.” DM Bhupendra S. Chaudhary said.

The preparations have been made by the region organization for the last customs of the jawan with full state respects.

The body is relied upon to touch base in Sambhal later in the day, authorities said.

Sudesh, hailing from Sambhal region of Uttar Pradesh, was killed when Pakistani Army let go on Indian Army posts along the Line of Control in Rajouri region on Sunday.
