Kashmir: After the death of 21-yr old boy in a violence by security forces, anxiety has raised in Handwara district of North Kashmir’s Handwara. He was died in Hafruda forests of Kupwara District. He was identified as a student from Daril-Ramhal village.
Huge protests was carried out in Handwara after his body was recovered. The deceased is identified as Shahid Bashir, a BA student of Government Degree College Handwara. On Wednesday, his body was sent to his family.
Several people came out on the streets to protest against the killing of 21 yr old youth. They denied to bury the body until an FIR is filed against the security forces. The district administration authorities later reached to the area and promised the people of a authoritative investigation, following which people hide the body on Thursday afternoon.
“Shahid Bashir was not indulged in any criminal or subversive movement. An analysis will be done and we will do investigation fastly,” stated Khalid Jahangir, Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara.
The army stated that a militant lost his live on August 22 following which they carried out operation against ultras at Hongnikote in Hafruda forest.
On Thursday, the army asserted that they found an “unknown body” after the violence with the terrorists.
