Kashmir: Firing between militants and security forces starts in Budgam; no casualties reported


A gunfight took place between militants and security forces on Tuesday in Kashmir’s Budgam district, police affirmed.

When the security forces got the information, they seized off Durbugh village. The gunfight started when the terrorists were hiding inside the house.

“Initial reports said one or two militants were hiding,” the police affirmed. No casualty has been reported yet.

As per one the leading newspaper, some terrorists entered into the house of an assistant sub-inspector of police and a constable in Shopian district of Kashmir and raided their houses in Jammu on Monday night. The terrorists began firing into the air before rushing from the area.

The army officials stated that militants are “already making arrangements” to kill tourists coming to J&K in 2017.

Intelligence agencies are watching the actions of terrorists across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Inputs revealed that working of Lashkar-e-Taiba and other outfits are moving towards new launch pads to penetrate, the sources stated.
