Kashmir: 2 Militants Dead in open fire at army camp in Handwara


Militants Targeted on an Army camp in north Kashmir’s Kupwara locale, in two Attacks amid early hours Thursday. The camp that is situated at Langate in Handwara locale, saw substantial gunfire provoking the security forces to strike back. Two Militants have been murdered in the exchange .

The First stand-off Firing went on for around 20 minutes, after which Search  operations were being directed. The second round of terminating came as the aggressors again started shooting at the strengths who were directing search operation.

“At around 5 AM, militants opened firing on an army camp at Langate in Kupwara district, which was retaliated by the alert jawans,” an army official had told Media . “There was firing once again on the camp at 6:30 AM as the forces were conducting the search operation,” the official later said. Additional forces have been rushed to the area, he said.

This is the third Attack Aimed on Army camps in Kashmir, till now. Three days prior, Terrorist Attacked an armed force camp in Baramullah where one BSF trooper lost his life. On September 18, fear mongers having a place with Pakistan’s activist outfit Jaish-e-mohammad assaulted an armed force camp in Uri executing 19 armed force warriors.

In the interim, an armed force representative said that three invasion offers helped by Pakistani posts were thwarted on the mediating night of October 5-6.
