Kanpur: Minors’ bodies discovered on railway track


A 18-year-old boy and a minor girl were discovered dead on the railway track in Gursahaiganj area under Kotwali police station in Kannauj area on Monday morning. Their parents blamed each other for murdering both for them.

The incident approached on the heels of the demise of a couple in Mahoba district where the bodies of one Aslam and Aasiya nom de plume Gudia were found on a railway track amongst Ghutai and Harpalpur railway stations.

As per police, the boy and the girl were from different caste and wants to be in relationship.

The police are examining the correct cause behind their death and are anticipating the postmortem examination report before coming to any decision, said a cop.

As indicated by police, a train driver had detected the bodies close Malikpur and alarmed the railway authorities, including the administration railway police control room. The police from there on reached the families of the casualties, who blamed each other for plotting to slaughter them. “Both the families are considering each other in charge of their demise,” said ASP Vanshraj Yadav.

Police said that the girl had been absent since Saturday evening from her maternal grant parents home in Malikpur. Amid examination, the police found that the boy had gone disappeared that day.
