Kabul: Nearly seven people died in a suicide attack in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Saturday. Suicidal attack was carried out in the memory of a leader of Shia Hazara minority community.
Home Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi stated that the attack was held after attacker was stopped for investigation at Security Investigation Center. A policeman and six civilians were killed and seven civilians were injured during the attack.
The spokesman said that the intention of the attacker was to target people gathered on the death anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari.
Hazari leader Abdul Ali Mazari was killed by Taliban in 1995. Islamic State has done several attacks on groups of Shia mosque and Hazara community.
According to the Islamic State, 12 people were killed in a suicide attack at Shia Cultural Center in December and nearly 72 people died in two separate attacks on mosques two months ago.Rajasthan Tourism App - Welcomes to the land of Sun, Sand and adventures
