JNU Elections will be held on 9 September this year, exactly seven months after the ‘Afzal Guru’ controversy that embroiled three students, Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, and Anirban Bhattacharya in a sedition case.
The JNUSU elections will attract countrywide interest. The campus is abuzz with slogans such as: ‘They Say #ShutDownJNU! We Say #FightBackJNU!’, another states, ‘Come…Join Hands With Us To Rebuild The Nation!’
Their organisations may not be contesting but that has not kept Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, and Anirban Bhattacharya from campaigning against the ABVP.
