J&K: 2 militants killed in clashes with security forces in Bandipora


Srinagar: At Least two militants lost their lives on Sunday in clashes that took place between security forces and militants in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The clashes are underway in Bandipora’s Mir Mohalla of the Hajin area. Even though the firing has ended but the heavy stone pelting is in process.

“As the armed forces came near to the hiding terrorists, they were attacked at during the firing.”

“The injured was a member of the cop’s special operations group. He sustained injuries at an Army base hospital in Srinagar.”

“The clashes are in process and two to three terrorists are hoped to be trapped,” a cop official affirmed.

In Bandipora, the security forces of 45 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in alliance with the Special Operations Group (SOG) and 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was conducting cordon and search operation (CASO), the clashes started.

Nearly Nine para military and security forces are together conducting the operation.
