Divulging yet another plan under brand ‘Amma’, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today reported development of “Amma” marriage lobbies at an expense of Rs 83 crore.
In an announcement here, she said the marriage corridors would be developed at 11 places in the State.
The lobbies would be implicit Tondiarpet, Velacherry, Ayapakkam, Periyar Nagar, Korattur in Chennai, Anna Nagar in Madurai, Ambasamudram in Tirunelveli, Salem, Kodungaiyur in Tiruvallur and Udumalaipet in Tirupur area.

Ms Jayalalithaa likewise declared development of 50,000 houses through Slum Clearance Board at the expense of Rs 1,800 crore.
The legislature will offer an endowment of Rs 945 crore to the recipients to build 45,000 houses at the rate of Rs 2.1 lakh to every unit.
She said she has likewise requested development of another 2,000 low pay, center wage and high wage bunch apartments by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board amid the current monetary.
