NEW DELHI: At Least three killed in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir following heavy rainfall and cloudburst in Doda distrct on Wednesday night. The authorities were found by the authorities. The police asserted 11 people have been wounded and many other houses and shops have been destroyed.
A school building has also been damaged.
The investigation is in process by the rescue operators. Doda district have been facing massive rainfall since several days.
Due to heavy rainfall in the region, the officials had been enforced in the area to rescue people so that traffic cannot get jammed on Jammu-Srinagar national highway that links Jammu and the Kashmir valley.
Massive rainfall has led to flash floods and landslides in several areas of the country involving Assam, Manipur and Odisha.
The Jhelum river began flowing higher than the danger mark leading the administration to issue a flood alert in the Valley.
Kashmir had suffered unparalleled floods in 2014 when most of the residential areas, involving in Srinagar, were flooded by waters up to the level of several feet.
