Jammu-Kashmir: Terrorists attacked Army convoy in Anantnag


JAMMU: An Army convoy was attacked by group of militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday while the terrorists attacked at army vehicles in Bijbehara area. Later, the militants rushed from the area. As per the reports, no one was injured in the area.

Security forces asserted, “The Valley was on the edge on the event of the ICC Champions Trophy final match between India and Pakistan.”

Authorities demanded the shutting of Srinagar-based NIT, which had prior faced violence between Kashmiri and non-Kashmiri candidates during the 2016 World Cup T20 semi-final. On the other hand, Kashmiri students had commemorated India’s loss to West Indies, leading to chaos on the campus.

During the final football match, Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju stated, government would give the required support to uphold peace in J&K. “All the strategies have to be dealt with due consultation with the elected government in the valley,” Rijiju added.

He likewise alluded to militants killing and ruining the dead bodies of six policemen in Achabal town of Anantnag locale on Friday and stated Kashmir is ought not bow down to such acts.
