Pakistan army carried out ceasefire violation at Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. As per the reports, the Pak army continues to fire on the Indian army. Following the surgical strike by Indian Army few days back, it conducted violation in the month of June for the 23rd time.
On Thursday, about two Army jawans got wounded when Pakistani troops started gunfire along the LoC in Poonch district. “The Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0130 hours in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LoC) today,” a defence spokesman stated.
Army hit back powerfully and efficiently, he stated, asserting that two soldiers faced minor injuries in the crossfire and were taken to the nearby military hospital. The Pak Army carried out firing and shelling on Thursday along the LoC in Bhimbher Gali (BG) sector in Rajouri district.
On Thursday, The Pakistani army on Thursday also conducted ceasefire along the LoC in Poonch district.
In June, nearly 22 ceasefire violations were conducted by the Pakistani Army in Poonch and Rajouri districts along the LoC that lost the lives of about four people, involving three jawans and one other person.
The Pakistani Army fired small arms and automatic weapons on the occasion of Eid i.e. on 26 June along the LoC in Bhimbher Gali sector of Rajouri.
