Srinagar: About four militants died on Monday morning in a gunfire that was carried out by security forces in a CRPF camp at Sumbal in Bandipora district of J&K. The terrorists made attempt to come into the camp of 45 Battalion CRPF at 4:10 am and started gunfire.
“Four militants were killed in the retaliatory firing and the suicide attack was foiled,” the official asserted. “Four militants were killed in retaliatory fire by troops of 45 battalion of the CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police at Sumbal in Bandipora district during a suicidal attack by the militants on CRPF camp there,” a police spokesman stated.
The spokesman affirmed that the attack was successfully revolted. CRPF’s Sumbal camp is headed by Chetan Kumar Cheeta. He faced nine bullets by the terrorists in firing in Bandipora district in year 2016.
He stated, nearly four AK rifles, one UBGL (Underbarrel Grenade Launcher) and some ammunition were found from the terrorists. J&K DGP Shesh Paul Vaid shared, “45 Bn @crpfindia/@JmuKmrPolice killed 4 terrorists at Sumbal #Bandipore who were attempting suicidal attack on CRPF camp. #JaiHind”
Nearly two army personnels lost their lives and four others wounded on 3 June in attack that took place by militants on Army convoy in the Qazigund district of Jammu and Kashmir. One civilian was wounded in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the Poonch sector.
The Pakistani Army had before started unpredictable terminating of little arms, automatics, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars along the Line of Control in the Nowshera and Krishna Ghati segments on Thursday in which two regular people were harmed.
