Jammu: Civilian died, jawan wounded in militant attack in Pulwama


A civilian died and a CRPF jawan wounded in the attacks that was carried out by militants on Friday in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Several people got injured in the grenade attack that was held by the security forces at Murran chowk of Jammu-Kashmir.

In the attack, a well known civilian Mohammad Ayoub Wani died and CRPF jawan constable Daljit Kiran got wounded. High alert has been issued in the area and the investigation is in process for the militants.

Earlier, the similar attack was held by the terrorists in year 2016 that killed nearly 87 security personnel in the state. In year 2016, at least 165 militants died in the attack. In February, three soldiers died in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir when militants attacked an army convoy.

The largest militant attack was held in September last year on security personnel in J&K when 19 soldiers lost their lives. The attack was held by Pakistan based terrorist organisation
