JAMMU: On Sunday night one BSF jawan killed and three others were wounded as Pakistani army resorted to heavy cross-border dismissal in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, in third ceasefire violation. An Army officer conveyed that, Pakistani army resorted to heavy cross-border dismissal in the Rajouri sector, in which three of our soldiers have been wounded.

He has also further conveyed that, the army was giving befitting reply to the Pakistani flames and the swap of fire was going on till previous reports came in. The ceasefire violation came a day following a BSF jawan and a woman were wounded and two houses were spoiled when Pakistani troops targeted Indian posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors of Rajouri with mortar attacks and small arms flames.

On Saturday morning, Pakistani army resorted to infringement of the ceasefire in the Nowshera sector and in the daylight; they commenced firing in the Sunderbani sector aiming Indian posts and civilian areas.

On Thursday, Pakistani army had targeted Indian posts and civilian villages down the LoC in the Pallanwala sector of Jammu district. On Tuesday Pakistani troops targeted Indian posts with heavy firing and shooting for four hours along the LoC in Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, forcing Indian troops to retaliate.

There have been 286 events of firing and shelling down the LoC and the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistani troops that have resulted in the death of 26 people, counting 14 security personnel, as the surgical strike on terrorist launch pads in PoK on September 29.
