Jaipur: Gandhi Nagar railway station has been made the primary non-suburban station in India to be fully worked by women.
Nearly 40 women will work here in this station. They will be doing operations of selling and checking of tickets, security.
Among 40 women, nearly four will take care of train services, 8 will be involved in bookings, 6 will manage reservations, 6 will validate tickets and make public statement, eight will supervise Railway Police Force whereas other 6 will do other work.
The employees will do job in three shift of 8 hours.
As per the reports, Gandhi Nagar’s first woman station superintendent (SS) will be Neelam Jatav.
The decision to enroll all the women employees in Railway station was taken by NWR’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) and implemented by Divisional Railway Manager and other railway authorities.
Vasundhara Raje Government has also lend a hand by enrolling GRP and lady traffic police officers at Gandhi Nagar Railway station.
