Jaipur: There is peace in the city since the incident on Friday night in Jaipur, but police have increased curfew for 24 hours in the wake of security and the internet service has been closed till Sunday.
Cops are continuously patrolling the four police station areas (Ramganj, Standard Chowk, Galta Gate and Subhash Chowk). The police are keeping close observation through drone cameras situated there. On Saturday evening, police commissioner Sanjay Aggarwal issued these orders after taking stock of the situation.
As per police and district administration authorities, internet service has been temporarily disrupted to stop any kind of unpleasant incident, to prevent rumors. On the other hand, the city life is completely closed in the walled city. People are not able to supply the goods needed.
On the other hand, the family members refused to accept the body of Mohammed Resu alias Adil, who was killed in the firing. His demand is that he should be compensated for 10 million and a kin to get a government job.
While, the administration and peace committee is urging people to maintain peace with the people so that serenity must be maintained.
The incident took place on Friday night at around 8 pm when the bike rider couple got hit by stick of police constable while they were removing the wheelbarrow standing on the road in Ramganj Bazar. After that the dispute started. Several people came out in front of the police station to clash with them. They began stone pelting and set ablaze 5 vehicles. As per the reports, nearly 16 people involving 10 policemen were wounded in the incident.
