Jaipur: Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has described Jaipur as rapidly emerging as a hub of performing arts with popular events being held in the Pink city.
She said that occasions like Jairangam, Jaipur Literature Festival, Sufi Festival and World Music Festival have made the city a center point of craftsmanship and culture.
Raje made the comments while tending to the opening of Jairangam, a week-long theater celebration here the previous evening.
“The theater celebration is showing to the Jaipur gathering of people 33 plays and 200 road plays alongside different courses and workshops and is in reality a fitting adornment to Rajasthan’s social scape,” she said.
She likewise gave the Jairangam National Award for Life Time Contribution in Theater to Bollywood veteran Paresh Rawal.
