Jaipur: A shocking incident occurred on Saturday night at Sushilpura flyover when a speeding car ran over a woman. In the mishap 28-yr-old woman killed and her body parts found scattered all over the road.
Badan Singh, investigation officer of road accident police station (Jaipur-South) also conveyed that Panchu Devi was crossing the road to defend effigy of Ravana when a speeding Honda City car hit her and dragged her for 800 meters.
The car driver did not stop the car following hitting woman. The car driver then also speeds up the speed of the car due to which her body got stuck to the bonnet. The upper part of woman was found close to flyover and the others were found close to a drain.
Locals informed the police about the incident and her body brought to the mortuary. Badan Singh also further conveyed that she was a resident of Jalore district and reached Jaipur for a few days to sell effigies of Ravana before Dushera festival.
Her husband Shri Chand and her three children were sleeping when the mishap occurred. After post-mortem the body was handed to the family members. Police officials further added that a case has been registered against the unidentified driver who killed the woman.
The area CCTV footage recovered in which the speeding Honda city car passing through was captured and we will soon recognize the registration number of car. Shri Chand conveyed police that he did not have any money to take her body to Jalore as they spent all money in purchasing raw material to make effigies of Ravana.
