Sonakshi Sinha believes that it is a right time for women to be in the movie industry as more and more women based films are being made up regularly.
The actress alleged, “The audience today is more open to watch films in which actresses play the lead roles”
When asked to her if women are playing central characters in movies, she said, "Yes they are…And I think it's about time they did. There are some great characters being written for women in films."
"The audience has become much more accepting about what they are watching on screen so I think it is a great time to be a woman in Indian cinema," she added.
This statement was given by Sonakshi during the launch of new song 'Rajj Rajj Ke' from her upcoming film 'Akira'. The song has been sung by Sonakshi and track is composed by Vishal Shekhar.
"'Akira' is a Sanskrit word, which means graceful strength. It applies to the girl, who is graceful and strong. She knows where to use her strength and her power."
