On Friday, three attackers opened fire close to Jerusalem’s holiest site injuring three Israelis, two of them seriously, before they were killed, Israeli police said.
Armed force Radio said the shooting occurred close to the consecrated site referred to Muslims as Noble Sanctuary and to Jews as Temple Mount.
Police said the three attackers were slaughtered by security forces. The Israeli ambulance service Magen David Adom said two of the Israelis injured were getting life-sparing treatment.
