Mumbai: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) e-ticketing website being hacked. Personal data of more than 1 crore customers has been stolen from the server. These are not only trouble for IRCTC but can cause problems in terms of safety and security. IRCTC’s website has refused the report. However, it must be said that there has been a complaint of selling railways passenger information. IRCTC is India's largest e-commerce website.
Earlier, there was the news of IRCTC website had been hacked and personal data of around 1 crore customers had been stolen. MD of IRCTC AK Manocha said our website has not been hacked.
According to information, IRCTC officials fear the theft of customers including their phone numbers, date of birth, Pan card details and other necessary information. Customers information has been sold in a CD for Rs 15000. The railway board is looking into the matter and will take required actions.
