New Delhi: Buoyed by the accomplishment of the 92 paise travel protection arrangement for travelers, IRCTC is currently wanting to dispatch another plan for travelers' devices like cell phones and portable PCs.
The first round of meeting in such manner was held between IRCTC authorities and insurance agencies, IRCTC Chairman and Managing Director A K Manocha said.
"There are a few worries that insurance agencies have about false claims. We have imparted a couple of thoughts to them furthermore requested their proposals. Offering this approach to Visa holders or government authorities in the underlying stage is one of the thoughts we have drifted to alleviate instances of false claims," he said.
Manocha wishes to make this plan accessible both in instances of rail mishaps and in addition of robberies.
He said, "I am making a decent attempt to push organizations to give protection spread in occurrences of burglary too. In this way, they have communicated their readiness to offer it just in instances of incidents."
The proposition takes after the accomplishment of the travel protection plan dispatched by IRCTC a month ago. Officially more than one crore travelers have picked it.
The policy unveiled last month offers insurance cover of up to Rs. 10 lakh for a premium of 92 paise in case of accidents or an untoward incident like terrorist attack, dacoity, rioting, shootout or arson.
To promote this scheme during the festive season, IRCTC has in fact decided to reduce the premium from 92 paise to 1 paisa for tickets booked between October 7 to October 31 as part of its Diwali bonanza.
