Infosys looks for govt endorsement to set up IT SEZ in West Bengal


Infosys is looking for Union government's endorsement to set up an IT extraordinary financial zone (SEZ) in West Bengal, as indicated by reports.

Report says that the organization's application will be considered by the between pastoral body, Board of Approval (BoA), headed by Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia.

The organization has proposed to set up IT/ITeS SEZ over a region of 20.14 hectares in South 24 Parganas, says report.

Infosys Ltd finished at Rs. 1067.4, around Rs. 4.75 or 0.44% from its past shutting of Rs. 1072.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1065 and touched a high and low of Rs. 1074 and Rs. 1051 individually. An aggregate of 3039647(NSE+BSE) shares were exchanged on the counter. The present business sector top of the organization is Rs. 245175.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the organization remained at 12.75 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.71 % and 29.05 % separately.
