Chennai: City Police on Thursday released a developed photograph of the suspect in the Swathi murder case (Infosys employee). On Monday, the case was transferred from railway police to the Chennai police after Madras High Court’s intervention. On Wednesday, the police had discovered that the killer was a young man who was following Swathi since May. Police reportedly took the help of a Hyderabad-based digital forensic firm to take out high-resolution pictures of the accused.
S Swathi (24) was hacked to death on platform no.2 of Nungambakkam railway station by an assailant, who is believed to be her stalker. As the CCTV footages recovered post the incident. On behalf of this footage an investigation going on. A week into the brutal murder at Nungabakkam Railway station, no arrests have been made yet. The police is now seeking help from people to help trace the murderer. Police teams in Chennai continued their inquiries with neighbours and friends of Swathi besides analysing the Call Detail Records (CDR) of her mobile phone.
