Movie producer Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming release ‘Indu Sarkar’ is set in the setting of the Emergency. The film means to recount the tale of the infamous Emergency time period. The characters in the movies are propelled by the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her child Sanjay Gandhi. It had drawn discussion after Congress requesting that it be screened before them. Presently the censor board has recommended 14 cuts for the motion picture.
A horrified Bhandarkar tweeted his anger on social media. He expressed, “Just got out of Indu Sarkar film censor screening. I am appalled at the 14 cuts suggested by the committee. Will go to the Revising Committee.”
