Indigo flight diverted to Mumbai after man shouts pro-IS slogans


An Indigo flight going from Dubai to Kozhikode has been detained in Mumbai as two passengers allegedly started shouting pro IS slogans inside the aircraft on Thursday.

According to the Mumbai Police, two persons have been detained for unruly behaviour and being interrogated. They have not been identified yet.

"A case will be lodged against them on the basis of statements made by the detained passengers and crew members," a police official said.

"A passenger suddenly started misbehaving with the crew, jumped on the forward cart (used for food and on board merchandise), and sat on it," IndiGo said in a statement. 

The emergency landing of The IndiGo Flight 089 was done at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai at around 9.15 today morning.
