Indigo Flight 933 witnessed emergency landing due to fault in tyre


The incident took place on Wednesday when a domestic terminal of the airport suffered tense moment. The Indigo flight was carrying around 160 passengers from Mumbai and was heading towards Kerala. The flight faced emergency landing due to technical problem.

The pilot of Flight 933 alerted the Air Traffic Control after he came to know about the problem.  There were fault in the front tyre system of the Airbus A320 aircraft.

“It was initially felt that a suspected glitch would render a normal landing impossible. However, the circumstances for an emergency landing did not arise as the tyres functioned perfectly fine. There was no cause for any apprehension with top priority being ensured for the safety of the passengers on board,” an official of the airlines said.

Indigo flight arrived from Mumbai at 2.10 pm and reached at Thiruvananthapuram by around 4.20 p.m.
