Mumbai: Today the Indian Rupee depreciates by another 7 paise to 66.99 against the US dollar in early trade at Interbank Foreign Exchange market as the American currency strengthened abroad.
Forex dealers have also further conveyed that, fresh demand for the US currency from importers and a inferior commencing in the domestic equity market put pressure on the rupee.
On Monday the rupee had decreasing by 24 paise to conclude at 66.92 against the US dollar. Yesterday the forex market remained closed on account of “Id-ul-Zuha”.
For now, the benchmark BSE Sensex drops further by 30.22 points or 0.10 per cent to 28,323.32 in commencing buys and sells today.
