Indian Rupee down 9 paise against Dollar in early trade


Mumbai: On Wednesday the Indian Rupee depreciates by 9 paise to 67.15 against the US Dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on fresh demand for the American currency from importers.

Forex dealers has also further conveyed that, strength in dollar next to some other currencies abroad weighed on the rupee but a superior commencing in the domestic equity market restricted the losses.

The rupee had improved from one-month low to close 13 paise superior at 67.06 a dollar in yesterday's buy and sell on the back of selling of the US currency by banks and exporters.

Today the benchmark BSE Sensex appreciates by 118.18 points or 0.42 per cent to 28,108.39 in early buy and sell.
