Indian Equity Markets Trade Higher


On Friday, Key Indian equity market indices opened in the green following Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council’s fitment of 1,211 products in the expense chunks.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was exchanging 208.82 points or 0.69 percent higher amid the early session.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 56.30 points or 0.60 per cent higher at 9,485.75 points.

The BSE Sensex, which opened at 30,539.65 points , was exchanging at 30,643.61 points (at 9.21 a.m.) in the early session, higher 208.82 points or 0.69 percent from the earlier day’s nearby at 30,434.79 percent .

The Sensex touched a high of 30,667.65 points and a low of 30,539.65 points in the trade so far.
