Indian Captain Virat Kohli appreciates New Zealand for challenging ODI Series


Indian team defeated New Zealand in ODI series by 2-1 on Sunday at Kanpur. The captain appreciated Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal for outstanding performance in the tournament.  Indian team made 337/6 score to chase New Zealand. The Kiwis showed brilliant performance but in the last overs they couldn’t able to score and lost by just seven runs.

Virat Kohli articulated his contentment at his team’s bowling presentation and stated he was delighted the bowlers reached to the top position.

Kohli also ascribed the New Zealand team for their efforts during the game in One Day Internationals. He affirmed that NZ Team required to be at their greatest position in the coming matches.

Indian Bowler Bumrah clinched three wickets for 47 in just 10 overs and stopped the flow of runs in the last overs.

Kohli affirmed, “To be fair to the bowlers the wicket eased out nicely. The ball was coming onto the bat beautifully. But glad the bowlers came out on top. It was like a knockout game for us, and the boys showed their character.”

“Credit to New Zealand. They challenged us in all three games and forced us to play our best in every game. Credit to the skill and character they possess,” Kohli  stated.

In the game, Virat Kohli clinched his 32nd ODI century and achieved 9,000 ODI runs in the game.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma received Man of the match title for India and clinched 147 runs.
