India-South Africa to begin in starting of January


The India-South Africa cricket tournament is likely to get start in Cape Town on January 5 or 6 in Cape Town. In few days, Cricket South Africa (CSA)- BCCI will decide the dates of the tournament.

From the starting of year 2017, several deliberations were held between CSA and BCCI to decide the dates of tournament.  According to ICC’s Future Tours Programme, the matches will involve a 4- Test series, 3 One-day Internationals and 3 T20Is. Prior, The BCCI affirmed that the Indian team would not reach to South Africa until the last week of year 2017 after India series against Sri Lanka would finish on December 24.

The Indian Cricket Board desires its cricketers to take rest ahead they leave for South Africa.

Deliberations amid CSA and BCCI got difficult as the Indian board was not astonished with South Africa deciding the matches for the Australian series. The matches will begin from March 1.

However,  March 1 beginning of South Africa-Australia series would be busy one .

Straight away following the South Africa tour, Indian team would go to Sri Lanka to take part in Twenty20 tri-series ahead of coming back home for the Indian Premier League.
