India to provide $318 million line of credit to Sri Lanka


India has signed an agreement to provide fresh assistance of 318 million US Dollar credit line to Sri Lanka for the development of the railway sector in the country.

The assention was marked in Colombo. India has as of now gave four Lines of Credit to the improvement of railroad area in Sri Lanka through its EXIM bank adding up to around USD 966 million.

These credit offices have been used to enhance the Southern and Northern railroad lines and for the acquisition of moving stocks for the Sri Lanka Railways.
