Cape Town: India beat South Africa by 124 runs in the third ODI on Wednesday. This win helped the team to take a lead by 3-0 in the six-match tournament.
Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav clinched four wickets on Wednesday and contributed a lot for the victory of the team.
Captain Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 160 runs from 159 balls in the ODI match and taking India to 303 for six wickets whereas player Shikhar Dhawan clinched 76 runs off 63 balls.
South Africa began the hunt on a assuring note with South African captain Aiden Markram (32) and JP Duminy (51) contributing a 78-run partnership for the second wicket.
South Africa lost the game to Yuzvendra Chahal (4/46) and Kuldeep Yadav (4/23) to finish the match at a score of 170 all out in 40 overs.
The South African batsmen couldn’t able to play in the balls of Indian wrist-spinners.
The fall started with the Markram’s wicket as he was stumped by MS Dhoni.
Kohli stated, “I was struggling a bit while on 95 but I knew I had to carry on and pull the team out. These are times when you are tested and it is pleasing to go through it and do well.”
