A Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30MKI jet gone astray on Tuesday while gearing up for take-off from the Tezpur base camp in Assam.
As per sources, the incident took place while Su-30MKI aircraft was taking off from Tezpur on Tuesday on a routine training mission.
Tezpur Air force station is situated 172 km from the China border.
The reports revealed that the region was facing bad weather. At about 11:30 am, the jet made last contact with ground hold up from Tezpur air force station.
A Sukhoi-30 smashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer in the month of March while it was on a regular foray. The pilot had escaped safely that time.
In March, India and Russia signed two deals for long-term protection and technical prop up for Russian-made Su-30MKI fighter jets of the IAF.
As of now, the IAF works around 230 Su-30MKI contender planes and according to the assentions, Russian barrier majors United Aircraft Corporation and the United Engine Corporation will render specialized support and give upkeep administrations and extras to the armada for a time of five years.
