HTC U11 ‘Squeezable Phone’ to unveil in India on Friday


Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC is ready to unveil HTC U11 smartphone in India soon. The company has started sending out invitations to their clients. The cellphone is likely to be unveiled at an event that will take place on Friday i.e. June 16.

HTC U11 was found listed on the Indian website last week. The cellphone was unveiled in Taiwan in May. The USP of this handset is its ‘Edge Sense’ feature. This feature will help the customer to launch the camera and send texts.

As per the leaks,  6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the HTC U11. Furthermore, it says that the phone will be made available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red colour options. Just to recall, pricing of the HTC U11 starts at EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 53,000) for Europe, and in the US at $749 (roughly Rs. 48,000), where it’s up for pre-order. Other countries where the HTC U11 is scheduled to launch include China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Philippines.

For specifications, HTC U11 smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, it includes dual-SIM cards (Nano-SIM) slot. It boasts 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The handset is powered by 2.45GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that can be expandable to 2TB using microSD card slot.

Coming to its camera qualities, HTC U11 features 12-megapixel camera that comes with ultra-spread autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, slow-motion and feature of 4K video recording. It also involves features like Face Detection, Pro mode with manual control, 32-second long exposure, and RAW format support, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse. On the front, the handset has 16-megapixel camera, BSI sensor, full-HD recording. It supports 3000mAh battery as well as Quick Charge 3.0.
