Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei’s brand Honor has now introduced the new Honor V9 Play smartphone in China and will go on sale from 12th September, 2017. The Honor V9 Play smartphone unveiled in two versions – 3GB RAM variant with a price tag at CNY 999 (around Rs. 9,800) and the 4GB RAM variant with a price tag at CNY 1,199 (around Rs. 11,700).
The USP of the smartphone are its Android Nougat software, fingerprint scanning support, a 13-megapixel rear camera and will be vaccessible in Gold, Rose Gold, Red, Blue and Black colour options.
Talking about the features, the Honor V9 Play sports a metal unibody with rounded edges, antenna bands on the top and bottom chin, fingerprint scanner at the back right and the volume and power keys are on the right edge. It’s fingerprint scanner asserts to unlock the smartphone in just 0.4 seconds.
The smartphone runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, supports a hybrid dual-SIM slot (Nano + Nano/ microSD) and has a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It has a 65-percent NTSC colour gamut, motorized by the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and Mali T860 GPU and the internal storage space is at 32GB to expand further accessible using the hybrid microSD card slot (up to 128GB).
The camera offers a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash support, PDAF and 5P lens. At front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and packs a 3000mAh.
Connectivity options comprise 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, Micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and measure at 147.9~CHECK~73.2~CHECK~7.65mm. It weighs 145 grams and on board sensors comprises accelerometer, ambient light, digital compass and proximity sensor.
