Hizbul module discovered, four operatives detained


SRINAGAR: At Least four operatives belonging from a group of Hizbul Mujahideen detained by security forces on Monday.

The investigation was held by a joint cordon of police and 21-RR of Army at Chogal, Handwara. The terrorists have found as Mehrajudin and Obaid Shafi Malla. They were detained while moving in doubtful situations.

“Police and Army busted a module of Hizb and arrested two militants from Handwara in North Kashmir and two over ground workers from south Kashmir Awantipora town,” a police spokesman stated.

“The duo was asked to stop but they started running away. The Naka party immediately swung into action and caught hold of them. A huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered,” the spokesman added.

The probe disclosed that they had come to Handwara to get bullets and other aggressive weapons to attack the people in South Kashmir.

“Cyber surveillance unit of JK Police also tracked their social media network accounts and found some incriminating material. They were misusing web-chats to hatch and execute terrorist conspiracies,” he added.

The probe recovered that these terrorists belong to group of Hizbul Mujahideen.

On the exposé of these two terrorists, two more members of the group working as OGWs were detained from Awantipora, he added, they were found as Shahid Ahmad Thoker and Irfan Ahmad, both natives of Awantipora.
