‘Hindi Medium’, featuring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in lead parts, entered its second week in the cinematic world and turned the number game in its favour. The Saket Chaudhary-directed film earned around Rs 4.75 crore on Sunday, as per the reports on Boxofficeindia.com.
The film that raked in around Rs 2.35 crore on Friday, saw a rise in its collections on Saturday which added up to Rs 3.75 crore and a further rise on Sunday, taking its aggregate gathering to Rs 34.10 crore.
‘Hindi Medium’ had already recovered Rs 15 crore from digital, satellite, music and overseas rights. The film, which released on May 19, made a sum of Rs 15.71 crore within the first four days of its theatrical run.
The slice-of-life comedy is the story of thousands of Indian parents, who aspire to enrol their kids in an English medium school. It not only explores the Hindi-versus-English gap as well as passes on the message to eradicate the tendency to pit one against the other.
