Himachal Pradesh high court Notice issued to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over her land deal in Shimla


Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Thursday issued notice to Priyanka GandhiVadra in connection with the information about her land deal here. She had filed a writ petition in the court challenging the decision of Himachal Pradesh State Information Commission directing the district administration to release information about her land.

Admitting the petition after hearing both the parties, a division bench, comprising justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice P S Rana, directed the registry to expedite the hearing of the matter.   The petitioner has challenged the order passed by the State Information Commissioner whereby the Commissioner had directed the Deputy Commissioner and ADM, Shimla, to supply the information within 10 days to RTI activist Dev Ashish Bhattacharya pertaining to the purchase of land by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra near Shimla.

Meanwhile, after the Court had earlier admitted a petition of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for final hearing on her plea challenging the orders the State information Commission directing the Deputy Commissioner and Additional DC, Shimla, to give information about lands purchased by her at Chharabra near Shimla.
