On-screen character Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Salman Khan’s co-star of movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Kick, said that he’s not invited to Bollywood parties any more since he has generally been turning away party invitations up until now. In his meeting with media, the 42-year-old on-screen character referred to parties hosted by Bollywood personalities and admitted that he’s “uncomfortable” going to “desi” social gatherings. Nawazuddin especially said that he also used to be invited to Salman’s gatherings however not anymore. “Like every other person, Salman bhai too used to invite me to his parties but I have a tendency to avoid all Bollywood bashes. Despite walking red carpets at Sundance, Berlin and Cannes film festivals, I’m as still uncomfortable at a typical desi party. So now, I guess, everyone has chosen not to invite me knowing I’ll say ‘no’,” Nawazuddin revealed to media.

For instance, the Dabangg performing artist’s 51st birthday celebration held in December had nearly the entire of Bollywood fraternity pouring in. Kabir Khan, who directed Nawauddin in Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was likewise there but Nawazuddin was not part of the party.
Nawazuddin has worked with all the three Khans of Bollywood. Aside from Salman Khan, he’s shared screen space to Aamir in Talaash and Shah Rukh in Raees. When asked about his equation with Shah Rukh and Salman, he revealed to media that he was never made to feel overshadowed by their star status. “In the garden of Bollywood, Shah Rukh and Salman are as various as a red and a black rose, each blooming with their own beauty. Neither has ever made me feel or look bad. They’ve never been jealous or told a director to cut my part or reduce my lines. In fact, I’ve become the face of a leading fashion brand for men’s wear which today, offers even better up North than it did before. They were cheerful to learn this and congratulated me warmly,” Nawazuddin revealed to media.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui was recently seen as a cop in Shah Rukh’s Raees and will soon be playing author Saadat Hasan Manto in biopic Manto, coordinated by Nandita Das. Then, Salman Khan is busy with Tiger Zinda Hai, his next film with Kabir Khan, co-featuring Katrina Kaif.
